About Us

TARP, Inc. (Training Addiction and Recovery Professionals) was founded in New York City by William Perkins with a mission to train addiction and recovery professionals to help people who are suffering from addiction and in need of recovery services.

William Perkins has 30+ years of professional experience in the treatment and prevention of Substance Use Disorders (SUD) in both outpatient and residential settings. Mr. Perkins also serves as a clinical and administrative consultant and subject matter expert (SME) regarding Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program development and staff training for numerous programs in New York State.

William Perkins has benefited from being mentored/trained by leading experts in the field of addiction who taught him to pass on the knowledge he has gained. In return, it has been his great honor and pleasure to have trained many others to become professional counselors.
